I am by no means a professional developer, I just wanted to make a game I'd enjoy and I found others who shared the same dream. That being said, AI was used in the following ways:
Day 1
The game’s box covers, cardboard standees, store posters, console packaging, and music were all AI generated. I intended to release it that way.
Month 9
After hearing the community’s feedback, I started replacing the AI-generated artwork, beginning with the game covers for the first era.
At this point, later era assets were all still using artwork made with AI. I began replacing those in stages. Capsule art was also created with AI at this stage.
Month 11
All game covers in the current demo are now original art. I’m working to replace the remaining game covers before release. Audio is now all royalty free sounds and purchased music. Capsule is now commissioned art that I made adjustments to myself.
Some AI generated artwork remains. Console box art and standees will take longer to replace, and those replacements will continue during Early Access.
A roadmap for replacing the remaining AI content is coming soon.
