We used generative AI for much of Firefly's art, 3D models, music and sound effects. People directed it, picked what to keep, and cut, fitted and assembled every piece.
- Concept art, menu and UI art and icons: Google and OpenAI image models and Flux, cut into the game by our own scripts.
- Characters, monsters, weapons and props: Meshy 3D models, fitted, rigged and animated in Blender, with free Quaternius animations.
- Music: Suno. Many sound effects: ElevenLabs. The rest are free sound libraries or made in code.
- The main menu background is an AI-generated video.
- Store and library art: Flux painted over renders of the game's own models.
The caves are built by our own code, not AI. Nothing generative runs while you play.
