Codename: Operation Go is a turn-based strategy game that blends the rules of Go and the playstyle of strategy games. As in Go, players can deploy units directly to any available position on the battlefield, send them into action immediately, and capture enemy forces outright by surrounding them.
The developer draws original line art for units and characters, then uses AI-assisted coloring followed by manual editing and refinement.

Generative AI tools were used during development to assist in the creation of certain game assets. For visual assets such as units and characters, the developer first created original line art manually, then used AI-assisted coloring as part of the workflow, followed by additional manual editing and refinement. For music, AI was used to generate an initial melodic idea, which was then manually edited, arranged, and refined by the developer in LMMS. All AI-assisted content is pre-generated and reviewed by the developer before being included in the game. The game does not use live-generated AI during gameplay.
