Some visual elements in Shards of the Heart were created using a combination of hand-drawn artwork and AI-assisted tools.
The title screen and CG images were illustrated by hand and then refined with AI-assisted coloring. Character portraits are based on RPG Maker MZ sprites that were stylized using an anime-inspired AI filter.
AI tools were also used to assist with certain aspects of UI and plugin development, helping streamline implementation and customization within RPG Maker MZ.
AI was used as a supporting tool during development, while all design decisions, direction, and final implementation were handled by the developer.
